Louis C. Whaley Jr. is a retired US Army soldier who served for 21 years, including tours in Iraq and Afghanistan. After retiring from the military, he decided to pursue his dream of becoming an entrepreneur and started his own premium cigar line, Kings Palace Cigars, in May of 2021.

 

Louis’ love for cigars began during his time in the military. He recalls having his first cigar on a rooftop in Baghdad in 2003 and being immediately drawn to the sense of camaraderie and relaxation it provided. He also appreciated the craft and complexity that went into making each cigar.

 

After retiring from the military, Louis knew he wanted to start his own business and combine his passion for cigars with his entrepreneurial spirit. He spent several years researching and learning about the cigar industry, attending trade shows and meeting with manufacturers in Nicaragua and other countries.

 

In May of 2021, Louis launched his own line of boutique Nicaraguan cigars under the Kings Palace Cigar Lounge brand. He personally oversees every aspect of the production process, from selecting the tobacco to overseeing the rolling and packaging of each cigar.

 

Louis’ goal is to create a premium cigar brand that is both accessible and affordable to cigar aficionados and novices alike. He strives to create unique and flavorful blends that stand out in the crowded cigar industry, with a focus on quality and consistency.

 

Since launching Kings Palace Cigars, Louis has been working tirelessly to grow his brand and expand his line of cigars. He has received positive reviews from industry experts and enthusiasts
